This 3D Huehueteotl scan was taken from a clay popoxcomitl from Colima, Mexico. This digital piece is in homage to one of the volcanoes that dominates the skyline of Colima, the so-called Volcan de Fuego (also known as Huehueteotl and Xiuhtecutli.) This scan was taken with a live prayer in the bowl, which is now memorialized in this one-of-a-kind piece.
